Even the friendliest of dogs may not remain calm when costumed trick or treaters ring on the doorbell. It could be someone your dog is used to and normally likes, but when they are dressed up it may frighten and upset even a usually calm and placid dog.
Chocolate and sweets are another big no no for your dog, and everyone including young children need to understand that they cannot share chocolate Halloween treats with the dog. Chocolate can be toxic to dogs and can cause a range of symptoms including hyperactivity, vomiting, rapid heartbeat, seizures and even death so it’s serious stuff to avoid.
That doesn’t mean that your dog has to be left out of the Halloween fun though, so make sure you have a range of tasty dog friendly treats available for your furry friend to enjoy!!! If nothing else, they will keep him occupied when trick or treaters come to your door, as his mouth will be too full to bark!?!?
We have a great range of dog treats in stock so check out our website at www.aquaticandpetwarehouse.co.uk and stock up on pet friendly Halloween goodies today!?!
